“ Was staying in the nearby Lifehouse Spa, just happened to drive past and liked the look of the restaurant. WOW I'm so glad we went in the staff were all super friendly from the office. Was seated immediately even though no booking was made. I've had a fair few Turkish meals and this was miles better than anything I've ever had previously. The warm bread was plentiful and along with the most tastiest chilli sauce/ garlic mayo and olives a lovely start!. We opted to share a starter hich was the creamy garlic mushrooms which didn't disappoint, huge portion good for 2 with the bread. Both had our favourite dish which was Chicken Betyi. Stunning food and again a huge portion. Not sure what dressing they put on the salad but it was amazing. 1 pint of efes, diet coke, mushroom starters and 2 huge Betyi's 44. Amazing value. Met the owner, lovely man. We live in Wickford an hour away but honestly we will return. Thank you ”

“ Visited on Saturday night and what a fantastic experience. You can tell how good a place is by how busy it is. It was absolutely rammed which speaks volumes for the food and service. Everyone was having a brilliant evening. Birthdays being celebrated by 2 different tables who were certainly enjoying themselves. They even shared their birthday cake with us. The food we were served was mouth watering absolutely delicious and the cocktails were the best I've had and I've had a few in my time. Keep doing what your doing The Lara because I don't see people queuing to get in any other restaurant and happy to do so. ”

It’s nothing like your typical takeaway kebab; everything was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The chicken was tender and perfectly grilled, and it came with rice and a special Turkish pitta bread that was soft, warm, and full of flavour — a real highlight! The salad was fresh and crisp, and the portion sizes were very generous. We accidentally selected collection when ordering online, but the team called us right away to let us know it was ready, and then went the extra mile to deliver it straight to our door. Amazing service! To top it all off, they even included a cheeky rice pudding — such a nice surprise! Happy kebab days indeed. We’ll definitely be ordering from Lara again! ”
